Ok, so I know that Christmas is still very far away, but I want to get a jump on making Christmas card this year. Lawn Fawn has some great sets that they just released that I knew would make a great card. I wanted this card to really free like all the best things of Christmas are in one place. I used the Into the Woods set for the deer (Lawn Fawn also announced today that they have created lawn cuts for the Into the Woods set!), the santa hat comes from the Hats Off to You set, the words and trees are from Peace Joy Love and the tag is from the Winter Gifts set.
The Red and Green flower and bakers twine is from Pick Your Plum!
I hope you enjoyed my fun card. Are you going to make Christmas cards this year? When do you get started?
Today I have a card that I made for my sister’s birthday. We celebrated her birthday this weekend at my parents house. Her dog got out and ran away while we were having a fun time. Unfortunately, it put a damper on the partying, but thankfully we found him 20 hours later. Ok, so now to the card! Purple and green have been her favorite colors since she was young so I wanted to use this combination. I used
gnome sweet gnome from Lawn Fawn and colored them using my Prisma colored pencils. The green washi tape and resin flower are from Pick Your Plum!
Hi there! This card is one that I created for my BFF Chelsea to give to her dad for Father’s Day. She thought my cards were just so cute that I wanted to send one to her that she could give away. 🙂 I also wanted to highlight a new part of the Lawn Fawn’s dad’s day set. Mustaches are so popular right now I wanted to highlight them.
Happy Monday! Today I am sharing my CAS Father’s Day cards. It really highlights the dad’s day set from Lawn Fawn. I wanted to use kraft paper to create that masculine feel.
I created the first card for Steve’s grandpa. I knew I wanted to use the gorgeous washi tape from Freckled Fawn . I makes me think of a well worn chair that my maternal grandfather would sit in, watching TV or reading with his cat and dog. He passed away this winter so this card was in memory of him and I am glad I get to share it with my new grandfather-in-law.
This last card is for my paternal grandfather. He just moved back to the same town as my parents, because of his health. It has been very nice to visit with him and get to know him better. I thought the blue, white, and kraft were a perfect combination. I got the inspiration for this card from the Lawn Fawn site: here.
Thanks for looking!
I typically don’t post on Friday nights, but with all the wedding stress I needed some “just for fun” crafting time. I have had this color scheme on my mind for a while now. I also knew it would be perfect for the LawnScaping Challenge #59 which focuses on coloring.
A challenge on coloring? How fun is that – and perfect for stress release. I know that many people do not color with prismacolor pencils, but I love the bright and uniform look. I used the critters on the savanna set and die and the critters ever after set by Lawn Fawn.
I made this card with my sister in mind. She loves giraffes and I bought the set knowing that she would love it! I hope she doesn’t read this blog post until after she gets it in the mail. 🙂 Oh well. Anyway, I used the beautiful mint ruffle ribbon and washi tape from Pick Your Plum. I distressed the puffy oval with black distress ink and used pop dots to give it some dimension.
I created these cards a couple months ago knowing that I wouldn’t have much time around Father’s Day with the wedding stuff going on. They aren’t perfect, but I think the recipients will like them. Woohoo! Finally a new card post. 🙂
The first card is for my future Father In-Law. Some of my fiance’s best memories are camping with his dad. Most of the embellishments are from my stash or were purchased at Tuesday Morning (who could turn down deals like they have?). The “happy dad’s day” is from Lawn Fawn. The tree image is actually from the package that the embellishments came from. This is an innovative way to make use of all the materials available.
This card is for my dad. He loves to BBQ, and even built his own smoker. All the embellishments are from Tuesday Morning. I couldn’t say no to those bottle caps and vintage treat pendants, and, of course, how cute is that little BBQ? The washi tape and bakers twine is also from Pick You Plum.
I hope you enjoyed my Father’s Day cards. I have two more posts coming up, so stay tuned for more father’s day inspiration!
I have a fun card that I made this weekend. It highlights some other fun embellishment from Target. I found the beautiful felt flower chain in the dollar bin. As soon as I saw it I knew I could make a great card with it, and I was very inspired by a pink and mint combination. In April, one of the blogs I follow (Capture the Moment) had a Tilted challenge. I did not participate in the challenge, but I have been inspired ever since. I really wanted to tilt my embellishments for this card and I think it gives the card a great flow. I think it is always good to have extra thank you cards on hand and I knew the Lawn Fawn Many Thanks set would be perfect for this card. The washi tape, poka dot flower, and pink resin flower are all from Pick Your Plum.
Speaking of Pick Your Plum, I have to show off the beautiful Bakers Twin that I got in the mail last week.
Isn’t it just amazing?! I can’t wait to make something fun with it. Check back next week to see what fun cards I make with it.
Do you use bakers twine? If so, how?
