Lawnscaping Challenge #59

Hello hello!
I typically don’t post on Friday nights, but with all the wedding stress I needed some “just for fun” crafting time. I have had this color scheme on my mind for a while now. I also knew it would be perfect for the LawnScaping Challenge #59 which focuses on coloring.

A challenge on coloring?  How fun is that – and perfect for stress release.  I know that many people do not color with prismacolor pencils, but I love the bright and uniform look.  I used the critters on the savanna set and die and the critters ever after set by Lawn Fawn.

Thinking of You card from bumblebreeblog for Lawnscaping Challenge #59.

I made this card with my sister in mind. She loves giraffes and I bought the set knowing that she would love it!   I hope she doesn’t read this blog post until after she gets it in the mail.  🙂  Oh well.  Anyway, I used the beautiful mint ruffle ribbon and washi tape from Pick Your Plum.  I distressed the puffy oval with black distress ink and used pop dots to give it some dimension.

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 58 – Clean and Simple

Lawnscaping Challenge No. 58I am so excited!  This is the first Lawnscaping Challenge I have been a part of  (I hope I did everything right). The Lawnscaping Challenge No. 58 is clean and simple.  When Lawn Fawn had their release this month I was so excited to see that they added die cuts (lawn cuts) for the Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set.  I love love love this stamp set. Check it out!  The gnome is so stinking cute and I just love the little bees (I will be making a card highlighting those next week).

Thank You Gnome Card -bumblebreeblog

For the card that I made for this challenge I wanted to use craft paper and simple, bright colors.  I wanted to set the scene with beautiful bright flowers from the Gnome Sweet Gnome set, the Mother’s Day set, and critters in the ‘burbs set and of course the cute little birds.  How fun are they?  I finished it off with the cute Thank You word bubble from the Many Thanks stamp set.  Now I have to find the perfect person to Thank!

What’s your style?  Simple and clean? Or do you like fully embellished projects?
